As the tops gets the most energy, you could balance the tops a bit. Shortening them to 1 or 2 buds that you see.
But you could wait, until you see the new growth in spring, and do it then.

No don't repot. As this tree is just in your collection, and you don't know in what kind of condition it was before you bought it. (how long it was in the store, how long it was shipped etc). Let it recover in the same pot.
