Hello, I just bought this hinoki cypress from an online shop. First time working with one, I have done some reading and watched the videos on this site so I know the basic care but I don't know what to do with it just yet. If anyone has any ideas or tips shoot them my way, it looks to have twin trunks or atleast one long branch on the bottom.

To be honest, I would put this in the ground for a few years, and look for somewhat more mature plant. This is a very young plant, with no trunk to spreak of. It needs to build some wood first, otherwise it will not become a convincing tree.

Thank you, I don't have shops around to buy personally and I hate ordering online because I don't get to choose what I want. It said it was a medium size tree so I thought it was going to be a bit bigger.

Also any good ideas for future development? How should I go about making a good branch structure? I know pinching back should make a more dense foliage pad but should I cut back to inner branches and maybe thining it out?
