Hi there,

I'm a new user and I present my 2 threes. I'm a begginer and with some questions.
The Ficus has been with me for 1 year. the "Oliveira" ( Olea europaea) +- 1 month.
I've repotted both of the threes this weekend.

The Olea europaea is outdoors and the ficus indoor, close to the windows but not getting lots of direct sun light.

Hm. The olive is not a bonsai, are you planning to start training it?
The ficus you have is not considered a real bonsai.

Yes I'm planning training it, and expect to learn a lot, those threes are my first threes and its what I've for now.
The Olive its a very strong Three, so, I think it would be a good three to start learning some tips, the Ficus was a gift and also expect to learn from it.

But you will need to grow a decent trunk first, which will take many years.

About the trunk I'me aware of that. The only way to get the trunk ticker is to let the three grow up? I don't want the three became to big..
What other three you'ld recommend to a begginer ? I really like olive threes. I also like Acer palmatum and Juniperus.

Indeed, you will need growth to get a bigger trunk. This does not mean your tree will stay big - often bonsai are created from bigger trees.
There are articles about how to grrow a trunk. There is an article on this website - and there are more, but I do not have the URL at the moment. Google it, or I?l try and post that later.

Juniper is a good choice.
Another good option would be any tree native to your area, that is suitable for bonsai.
I cannot recommend Japanese maples... I do not have good experience with them. I have quite a few, but for some reason they just don't do well - even the ones that are in full soil in my garden. They tend to suddenly get problems, even the ones that look healthy and are growing well, leaves shrivelling up, branches dying back.... but of course that could be just me (though my other trees are doing fine).

I've already found the article from this website very clear and helpfull.
I've a example from a olive three that I like. If I pretend to take mine to that way, should I wire the trunk now while the trunk continue to get ticker ? or should I wait a couple year to start wiring the trunk ?

Even now you would be hard pushed to get any bends in the trunk. Olives become very hard very young. So bend as young as possible,

humm thanks you for your answer. What other "style" you'll advise for my olive ?
I don't know what to do with the "fork"... its why I was thinking to bend one side of the trunk
