Hello 名媛直播 Community!
I bought a nice juniper procumbens nana yesterday at a local plant nursery. I think it was a steal because it was only $8.99(USD). I see a lot of potential in it becoming a beautiful cascade. I chose the plant because of its nice taper. Since the foliage on the plant is so dense, I couldn't get any good photo of the trunk, but when I prune it, I will post more pictures on this page. I do not yet know exactly how I want to position it, so I am taking my time. Take a look at the photos below and tell be what you think(I am aware it looks like a bush right now).

The tree.
Photos 2 and 4 are of the trunk, apologies again for the lousy trunk pictures.

I wish you all the best with this. I cannot say I would have bought it. I think it is way to you to start bonsai training.

No bad for the price. Could be useful for practice, training, but as Leatherback said, don't expect to get much out of it.

Thanks for the responses eangola and leatherback. I do agree with you it may never become a decent bonsai. I too, think that it is a good practice plant. I believe it will develop into a nice mallsai.

That's not the definition of mallsai. It won't become one, unless when you take mallsai as example, which I'm sure you won't.

I apologize for the incorrect vocabulary use. Practice tree? Practice juniper? The juniper that is mediocre at best?

It's not mediocre. It's young. So, now, it's just 'juniper' and I think you should say "I believe it will develop into a nice tree".
At least, I do think that's what your objective should be. If you start working on it with the idea it never will be any good that will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Thank you for the improved wording on my posts. Also, thank you for the advice on having an objective.
