Can anyone give me an estimation of the age of my tree? I don't know the growth rate of this species. I forgot to ask the person I bought it from, as age doesn't seem to matter most of the time. But I'd like to be able to track it's age in case I need to tell someone.

Typical S-shape but better and older than the average mallsai.
I'm going to guess: about 12 years.

I wasn't crazy about the "S" shape, but it has potential for some nice pads, and maybe change the angle of the trunk on the next re potting. I read that these trees typically come over from china where they raise them in the "S" shape What style would you shape this tree in?
I bought this from the same guy who I took my class from and have other trees from. His business is all shapes 名媛直播. He always has decent starter material and gives discounts to people who take classes from him.
