Here my Australian Casuarina equisetifolia, that I bought two years ago. It was in a rather poor stage from what it is now, the wire was grown into the bark at some places and it took me a week daily clipping the dead branches out.
I have since rewired it and from the way it look now it shows he like his new home.

Clipping needs to be done now 3-4 weeks at a time, all by hand to avoid brown tips, I will make some more pictures that are current. I extend the lower branches by not clipping some are still weak, but growing. Details of this when I post the new pictures. Comments or ideas are most welcome.

The branch in my hand is going to grow thick for the next year or two, maybe faster, still wanna close that gab there. May here or there add other branches if new growth is showing up in the right position. I cut about ten small new branches that are not added to the all over look.

Don't let your self be scared, otherwise you miss out. The Australian pine is unlike the European, you can cut and it regrowths at will.
