Ah well, sometimes it is sad to be prooven right. Next time, please wait for the right time of year to do such things, which might improve your chances (Although I think you would need a fairly professional setup to get a beech cutting this size to take).leatherback wrote: Sorry, I like the optimism, but there is no chance the beech cuttings work. I think this beech took a note from Kristof and hardened the f@#k up!
I've kept this watered in the same manner as my other trees, but a few weeks ago, I was thinking of pulling it out of the pot to see what kind of growth, if any, had happened underneath. Lo & behold, buds were swelling. They've since opened up.
I love how nature can surprise you with both fragility & strength.
