But as you could guess - for one with interesting features you have to bow down and inspect 100 of them first.
I took many walks looking for material throughout winter and seen lots of them, but finished with only 3 trees
worth collecting this spring. This is 2nd of them. I am still waiting for this one to show signs of life before I collect it:

I didn?t need a permit for this one. There is a great orchard to be cleared anytime now that is over my village since communist times that nobody?s been taking care of for over 25 years.
Thats why there are some small hornbeams that haven?t had a chance to grow tall because of overgrown weeds and apple trees.
2 guys has been preparing trees for future bonsai in there for a few years and then suddenly large portion was cleared off without any notice to anybody and it broke their hearts. They lost some great material I was told. ?ll the trees were pulled out by tractors and burned.
And recent one where I had to save an oak last minute:

All right lads come over but it has to be till the end of this week cause the buds are starting to open any day now
I am going to collect my last deciduous tree this spring on thursday or friday.
