IMHO, cut off the trunks that I put red lines on, the one with the yellow lines might be harder to do away with. The little branch, at the bottom of the remaining trunk, (circled in green) may just become the leader, or just a sacrifice branch (only time will tell.
Keep it growing, pinch the rest, and let it do most, if not all, of the growing (up to a few meters). This would make the trunk, really thick, up to that point. The next branch up, would be the next step.
The roots don't look all that bad, I think they'll come along, with care.
By the way, what is it planted in?

i started out thinking the same.. but as my understanding of the hobby, and my knowledge grew, i quickly decided for myself that in order to make more progression myself, i needed the correct material.. (within my budget)
so i chose shohin.. and bought a handful of decent starting material..
but as i said, we all have our journey within bonsai.. but we all take different roads..
Maybe i should take a shortcut from my road to follow youre trail by listening to you, i know i may have showed that i am set on my path but theres nothing worse than getting stuck in youre own stubborness ,so, im going offroad, and following youre advice.
From now on no more houseplants or mallsais just good nursery material or yamadori, after all ive got enougth bad material to practice on for now Thanks Cronic its been a pleasure to philosophise with you .

Youre suggesting i cut just above the green circled branch to make it the leader?
Its planted in a plastic pot in regular potting soil .

you could let it grow, and thicken the trunk, up to that point. (every thing else just keeps getting pinched) so that branch does all the growing, it'll make your trunk grow thicker.
or you could cut it off there and make it the lead branch. You dicide

To the tree, start watching some videos, Kaizen 名媛直播 and others to get some ideas. Never give up, I started out the same way.
First of all, give the tree a different medium, because the super market soil is not what you or the tree needs. To see what you can do is, going to some tropical forums that future Ficus trees. Nothing need to be done in a hurry.
