I like those pots... But I specially like that they seem quite useful. They seem to drain water (with an adequate substrate that is) very well. Also, they wont be extremely hot in summer and might actually keep the warm in better than terracota pots when winter comes. Yes, efficient they are... I agree with Auk.
I personally have 3 wooden pots... One is still unused and the other two are hosting a Ficus Carica and an Acer Palmatum. They both seem to be doing just fine. Congrats on your work building these pots!
