Nursery swamp cypress

Hey everyone I picked up a swamp cypress today at a nursery and cut the trunk down similar to a yamadori collection from the forest let me know advice for recovery and thoughts this is my first time doing this. Cheers, TC

I too am not experienced with any yamadori or that experienced with nursery stock, but that chop mark will definitely take its toll on the image of the tree. The little branch right by the cut is your best hope I think, however, this is only the word of someone who has not got material like this, so...

thanks for the reply bob. this is my first try doing this and another little project to see what could possibly come of it, think of smoothing over the wound after another month or so. thanks for the link that is really helpful. Cheers, Tom.
