Hi everyone
I just wanted to show you all a little experiment I started before getting serious about bonsai
This is a curry plant ( helichrysum italicum ) I tried to repot on rock , I started it about 1 month ago and the roots have already grown alot and have started fixing to the rock quite well .
To do it o ciseled a few paths on the rock for the roots to grow and stick to then I filled them with clay before putting the roots in them then I covered the start of the roots with cling film leaving the tips with the feeders out and finally covered it in soil up to the trunk .
Afterwards I slowly removed a bit of soil every 3 days or so untill (as you see in the photo) I only left soil where the roots are growing and where I want them to grow.
What does everybody think ?
I know its just a herb but I think its good to experiment before starting on expensive trees
