This is a Melaleuca rhaphiophylla which I collected at the end of 2012.
A quite small tree with long branching which i removed.
The tree recovering well
September 2013
Training new shoots as they are beginning to grow , this is done because backbudding although good on this species is unpredictable. Keeping all shoots for some time is a safe way to go .
going into January 2014 and a tree is taking shape
This is how the Melaleuca looked by the end of 2014, changed into this Container from Bellota pottery.
approx height 330mm
thanks and have a great weekend

I am always amazed with what you can get from a tree. The trees you have posted are just thoroughly amazing. Thank you for sharing with us and have a good weekend too.

That is an amazing series of images. I am going to have to learn a lot more about this art of trees.

Hi Guys,
The design possiblities within trees are endless, it's just sometimes hard to see them.
Looking/seeing is learning as they say. Looking at the way others go about what they do helps us learn .
When designing any of my trees I always work to the 1 in 6 height ratio which I believe is a real help to bringing "scale" to the tree.
These pics are not the best quality but they are more recent pics showing some more progress,
there's a movie also
thanks guys.
