I think I've learned something new so far. I never touched the soil until this moment. But now I know how to care a tree or plant.

Well dear craig,
Thank you for inspiring and encouraging speech.I will buy shears and new sapling tomorrow. My juniper will remain,if I fail with it I will send it to the mother nature :) I will share photos as I make actions. I found great help here, with you guys.thank you so much for each of you for your valuable ideas.

Auk is right - there are some species which are almost impossible to style and Juniper Skyrocket is one of them. I know, I've tried..

Auk is definitely right. A lot of garden centre stuff are trained to look decorative as they are and getting bonsai out of those are real hard-unless you are fully qualified from fujikawa kouka-en, but either way it will take a long time in which you could have made 3 bonsai trees or something more productive. The thing i love about bonsai is that they remind you of the fact that time you cannot get back.

I see that :( but my bonsai enthusiasm still same. I will buy another sapling from the nursery stock and i will plant this stubborn juniper skyrocket to our garden when it gets healthier. Do you have any advices to make this juniper healthier?

Thanks, but you didn't get the point. It's not the origin that makes it unsuitable, but the specific species.

Not sure what you mean by 'sapling'. Is that a young tree, slightly older than a seedling?
Don't buy that, unless when you're willing to plant it and let it grow for at least 5 years.

Don't buy another Skyrocket either.

First learn what good bonsai-material looks like, then decide on what to buy.

I'm not expert at definining the trees but i meant young tree,i think.

I think I'm going to buy maple this time,i will stroll all around the nursery store this time. Do you have any tips for choosing a tree ?

Look for something that can become a good bonsai in the future... and that's easier said than done. There are several things you need to look for and that's a bit too much to repeat here. There are enough sites that explain about good characteristics for potential trees, like this one:

Note these are just two pages I found by Googling for

First thing you need to learn - and that almost all people starting with bonsai seem to lack - is patience.

The things you encounter when you Google for 'bonsai in turkey'....

Please make sure you don't look for Bonzai... seems that has killed quite a few people in Turkey.
Make sure not to go to this shop in turkey:
- 100 USD for that pathetic 3 (!) years old sapling is a total rip off.
20 euro would be fair (of which 18 euro for the pot).

I wondered if a Turkey Oak would be a good choice for you :)

(creating something like that requires very good material and very good bonsai-skills, obviously)
