Here is a pic of a juniperus squamata from a garden center.I have it 5+years,I think.
I am not a person that gives my trees a name but this one I call Fritz the Cat,escaped death numerous time.
It needs a few years of growing, but I'm pretty happy how it looks.for now.i'm on a quest for a nice round pot any ideas?
please feel free to make suggestions or comments.
cheers

I would go for a smaller, shallower, round, brown, unglazed pot, a simple one, not distracting from the focus on the tree.

I agree with Auk ,but i like the pot that Leatherback showed, maybe a bit to dark.
Bob,i am not a big fan of japanese drum pots in general,I have something like this in mind.
this is maybe a bit to plain.

So this is where it ended up in, it was in an other pott first but it was too? small. The first Pott was really nice but looked unstable. I still have to adjust the branches but i will leave it alone for now. To much fuzzing with the roots.
Cheers

Better, but it's out of balance now, probably also because meanwhile there's more foliage. That is going to need work, but you are absolutely right to not do that now.
Have you considered removing the lower branch ?
