Hello guys!
Last year in December, with the help of a good friend, I retired this tree from an abandoned park. It is not the C. speciosa, the common silk floss tree, it's another Ceiba species that i still don't know which.
Although this species is hard to ramify, I will try it hard, as i have plenty of time

I think i will wait untill 2015 winter to prune it.
What do you think i can do with it???
Thanks!

They look huge leaves, I wonder if they would air layer? I have never heard of the species so I know nothing about it. How tall is it? Not something that will be easy to make into a convincing bonsai.

this will never be a typical bonsai it is too large . it shows great age for its species and in a nice pot would make a great garden piece. it is still bonsai (tree in pot) just not what we would all imagine when we think bonsai. cant wait to see what can be done with it
