I'm not sure this is the correct forum to be asking for help, but here I go. I'll start with that I am a Novice at cuttings and working them so please any help I can get is great! 2 questions
I bought an S shaped Tiger Bark Ficus at the local Lowes and it really took off, so I did what any normal person would do, and I decided to try growing what I cut off of it. Now I have two cuttings that have turned into a dilemma, they are growing really well and I have no Idea what to do with them other then let them just be.?
for Picture Reference Mother Tiger Bark?Ficus is the plant I took the cuttings off, Tiger Bark ficus is currently 24 inches tall and a little over a half inch across the trunk. Tiger Bark ficus 2 is 10 inches tall and 1/3 inch across.?
I have been reading about burying the trunk up to the starting canopy, to get more root growth then after some time reducing top soil to show a rooted trunk. I have read about humidity tanks to get lots of Aerial roots... I guess I really was hoping that I could ask you all for some Inspiration? I am at a loss.
Second question
I really do not want Tiger Bark 2 to grow much taller then 36 inches, its been trunking out nicely and I would like to know if topping it would stunt that trunk growth??
P.S. I live in south western Idaho, so they are in a current temp of 70-80 degrees inside year round, humidty ranges between 40-60 percent. The window is south western facing LOTS of Light plus grow for the short days in the fall and winter

On question 1, I would say do your vision for the tree first. Then make a plan how to get there. In creating the plan includes shosing the appropriate methods and actions to get there. Starting with methods without having a vision or plan is like building a house without drawings. Impossible.
On question 2 the answer is yes. Cutting away foliage, no matter where, will slow down thickening on any piece of wood inbetween that foliage and the roots.
