I thought I had this on the forum..
Some 8 years ago I bought a bunch of Larix seedlings. I put thos in the ground to get a bit of mass. In 2015 I pulled this one into a pot:

What you have pines, I seem to have with larches - my yamadori larch wasn't doing great this year. I left it alone, to get stronger, but it didn't. It deteriorated quicly and died. I think. Still in the garden, hoping it has formed buds that are still alive, but it's unlikely...

In spring it looked nice
But maybe a little tall. So looking long-term I removed the top and started growing a new one
