so unfortunately no real sun today, and I think this will be the last stage of fall colors for this maple. the last one was about a week ago..
I moved the tree to a sunnier spot this summer, and while the leaves had some burn on them, it seems the fall colors are much better than in previous years. Anyone have this experience?

Looks awsome. Definetely my experience as well. More sun can burn the leafs but make better authum colors. The trick is to find the max sun it can take and it will be enough for great authum colors.

Really cool colors.
This fall/winter wasn't too harsh around here this year, so they didn't get too colorfull before shedding.
Last year tho', we had sudden temp. drop, like three nights in a row with frost, it was beautiful!
