Note this olive is well over a foot in diameter at the base.

Even the finer work was a bit heavier than that: a makita & Nibbler bonsai carving tool and a variety of the terrier tool..
I do expect to take off way more wood later on. So the really fine work with dremel is for later. Maybe next year once I have done all the rough shaping.
