Hey guys,

Just started having a look at videos on YouTube, got some advice with my old man and trying by myself.
Would like to have some comments on this 2 projects. The first one is a filifera nana that I’ve bought from a nursery. All the leaves were very brown and a few dead branches, tried to keep just the strong bits but not much experience on styling it. Second one is a funky ficus and was very healthy when I bought.

The Juniper must be put outside. You will kill it if you do not.
Both these tiny plants are in unsuitable pots but as they need 5 plus years to be any size they are usable.

Welcome to the Forum!
The Nana should be outside at all times, otherwise it will be unhappy and eventually die.

The Ficus can be grown inside, if you provide plenty of light.

Geoff is right, the pots they are planted in now are really not appropriate, specially the Ficus, the pot is way too big for it.

The chamaecyparis is too young, the ficus is not usable for bonsai.

So the juniper I’ve moved outside already and the focus has plenty of light all day long should be fine.

I repoted both of them trees not so long ago, would be a big shock if I change pots again or should I leave like this for now and check how they go?

Shock. I think so.
Wait for at least next spring. I have lost trees because of repotting twice in the same season.
Just don't overwater the Ficus.

Are those current pots have drainage holes?

IF the small pot has no holes, then this is certain trouble.

Don’t know the size of the pots... but I don’t know about Weed’s watering and soil layering skills neither.

Hey, thanks for asking, and yes, then both have 2 holes on the bottom! I had a layers of small stones on the bottom, a mix with general potting soil and perlite and a top layer just with the potting mix. Don’t know if it’s that ok but Should work. Water wise I’m wateri then about twice a week or if the soil it’s a bit dry.
