So, you CAN create a beautiful bonsai out of a mallsai. All it takes is a reasonably good starter, talent, skills and about 2 decades....

Thanks for showing thi,is great result.!

Again... Thanks a lot for sharing Marco.

I?m just no so sure that this tree?s initial phase can be regarded as a "Mallsai" as we have seen so many times. In any case, maybe a reasonably decent starter tree?

Ha, anyways great work! Time, skills and proper care can all play together and cast results as beautiful as these...

I wouldn't call the tree in the first picture mallsai either, mostly because the tree had potential. For me a mallsai, is something that cannot really be formed, or even really has any potential. The tree here had a trunk and branches that you could work with. The standard ikea ficus ginseng is a different matter entirely. Not being an expert, and really still a beginner, I'm not sure I'm qualifed to make definitions, but I think it dangerous to call any potted tree that isn't a bonsai (yet) a mallsai. If we don't agree on what is a mallsai, we can agree: no tree starts out as a bonsai.
That being said: great progression! Thanks for posting!
