The bleaching pattern on sections of the leaves on the outside of the tree are typical for sunburn.Andy B wrote: Sunburnt leaves? I avoid getting the leaves wet in the day time.
I am not sure what you mean to say that you avoid getting the tree wet during the day; I see no relation to your problems..

I am not sure what you mean to say that you avoid getting the tree wet during the day; I see no relation to your problems..
Must be the old myth that water droplets form lenses that focus the sunrays so the leaves get scorched.
