Hi,

I have a juniper bonsai that has become infested with small brown/black bugs. Attached are two photos

The tree seems to be doing well. I've had it for a couple months. I was told it's 19 years old

I've been watering it every two to three days.

Might they be aphids?

I know you can rub them off with the fingers; depends how many there are.

Await for a more detailed answer is probably best, but at least you can begin to identify and read up on how to deal with the pesky suckers!

Could be aphids but it a bot cold at the moment for them to be around. What damage are they doing?

The tree has been inside since I got it. At this point I haven't seen any damage.

Juniper + inside = dead juniper
(move it outside)

They may be spruce spider mites, but don't quote me on that. Look up a list of pests in your country and compare pictures to your problem.
I would also recommend that you look up Juniper care guidelines, as you appear to be a beginner.
