I will be in Kyoto in November and want to buy a ticket to Taikan-ten. I found a link to the free shuttle servce. I cannot find an internet method to get a ticket in advance for opening day, November 23. Is anyone else going or have advice?

You can buy them there, at the gate.
" Just down the street from the Heian Shrine, the Taikan-ten is held in the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall, aka Miyako Messe, in the Okazaki area of eastern Kyoto. The admission price is ?800 (currently about 7.23 USD or 6.37 Euro)."
