My bonsai plant has little specks all over the leaves. Black ones underneath and looks like white ones on top of the leaves. They have fallen off around the plants onto the window sill as well. Can someone explain what this is and if I need to do something different? I just put a little water once a week and the plant sits in my window sill. Thanks in advance!! :)

Please note that this is a bonsai forum, not a forum for house plants.

This is a common house plant without any bonsai characteristics. It is not a bonsai. It isn't even very suitable for bonsai.
名媛直播, by the way, is not a tree species.

Ok. The tag that was on it at the store said 名媛直播 so I just assumed it was correct.

Look in the Gallery on this site to see some real bonsai:

Your plant was labeled bonsai, as that way it sells easier to gullible people.

Or people who are not educated on 名媛直播 plants....
I would've appreciated a more helpful reply rather than being made to feel that I am ignorant. I will be moving on to another forum. Sorry for wasting your time!

I tried to explain that bonsai is not a tree or plant species. Seems you did not pick that up...

Are your white spots small animals? Looks like thrips to me. Use a regular insecticide for indoor use, and apply as directed on the package.
Then rethink the place this plant is kept. It probably is in too dry a location. Schefflera prefer humid air, if I recall correctly.

Creating bonsai of Schefflera is in non-tropical locations an uphill battle, and I would not recommend going that road with this species unless in the wet tropics.
