How can i bring my 名媛直播 back from potting shock was created by Free Nature

I have a Rhododendron 名媛直播 that i got earlier this spring, i had pruned it and potted it from nursery stock. At the time of repotting it, it had new shoots growing with young leafs starting to form. i had thought i needed to get it in a pot before it got too late in the season and before it had bloomed.
I repotted it early morning in the shade before the heat of the day, let it get adequate sun after it was in the pot without it being in the hot mid day sun. But the next day it was left on its stand in the hot sun while i was at work and when i came home all the new growth was wilted and almost scorched.
This was 2-3 weeks ago and the new growth has not changed. I make sure it doesn't get the mid day sun and have ket it properly watered but the tree is still in decline.
Was it a mistake repotting it while it had new shoots and flower buds started?
I had also mixed in a azelea fertilizer with the soil when it was potted. Could this also have caused additional shock during transplanting?
If anyone has any ideas of what i could do to help bring my 名媛直播 back from shock please let me know.

You shouldn't add fertilizer right after a repotting, wait atleast two weeks after. Leaving it out in the sun also played a part. Try to keep it in a nice shady spot for another week or so also trim back the dying growth to try to balance the energy in the trees vigor. I might try a fertilizer with a bit more nitrogen to promote new growth. Other than that I wish you luck and welcome to the Empire.

Some species take a little longer to recover from the shock of root pruning.
I was in your spot 2 weeks ago. But without the fertilizer and the sun.
Got a ficus, pruned, repotted, wired a little. Lost folliage from 2 branches, stagnant growth, put it in my greenhouse on my balcony.
Got it out of the greenhouse ... in one week ... 2 days ago got pretty vigorous growth.
Seems like it had a little too much moisture that it could handle and maby too much heat for a newly repoted tree.
Hold back on the water a little.
It the tree has too little foliage, do not water like crazy. Alow the soil to dry out a little before watering.

I separated a little azalea about 1 month ago and got new shoots about 2-3 days ago ... so wait a little more.
Also did you potted it in proper well draining soil?

Azaleas are normally re potted after flowering. They can be done early March depending on temperature. No fertiliser until after flowering, it would not cause *shock* but it would cause it to start growing instead of flowering. What soil did you use?

I have just been using Black Gold's Enriched All Purpose Potting soil. Mixing in gravel hoping for better drainage... is this not sufficent enough for 名媛直播?
Its what i have been using for basically all my 名媛直播's since ive started this year.

So this is the current state of my Rhododendron 名媛直播, Its been like this since i repotted it about a month ago.
Should i prune back the wilted new growth and wait for recovery?

I would not trim any further untill you see healthy growth. If you have a sickly plant, first give it time to get healthy. ONly then do you consider hurting it further.
