I accidentally left a Silver Birch out for a week without watering it, and then noticed the leaves turning brown I then ensured that it was well watered, and am hoping it will come back ... it's been 2 weeks now, and no new growth yet. Should I give up and try again, or is there a season I should wait for?
I have cut the twigs to see if it has dried, but I can't tell, it's a wooden colour, though I didn't see any green ring around it, like I have on a full-sized tree.
Any help!

After 2 weeks yu should be seeing some buds, assuming it is growing season wherre you are.
You could pull it from the pot, and dig it in the agrden and let it be till spring?
