Hey ,
I collected this beech a couple of months ago along with 6 other smaller beech , the smaller ones are all growing vigorously and so was this one until this last couple of weeks , a few of the leaves started turning brown on the edges , it was only 3 or 4 so I didn't worry , but now most of the leaves are starting to turn .
Here's a pic
These are the first that turned and are currently the ones in worse shape , I'm worried because the other small ones have sent out another flush of growth and this one hasn't can anybody tell what the problem is ?

Beech are heat sensitive. If temps het high (35C plus) you can get heat damage. Similarly, dried out substrate can cause trees to drop foliage. Edges often get dried out whensalts accumulate on the leaves. Not sure what is ailing this specific tree without knoowing what you do for care.
It feels like the roots are not capable of dealing with summer yet.

Ok it must be the heat then cos it's been very hot these past weeks here , especially for Scotland lol it's not went over 35 but it might have reached 30 , so should I shade it during the hottest hours to let it recover or will it get used to it eventually ?
