Hi, I am trying to air layer pomegranate and ficus. I am using sphagnum moss and rooting hormone (N-6 Naphthaleneacetic acid). After two weeks, I see that the leaves are turning yellow. I opened one of the layer and noticed a few root (small, seems not growing very well).
What could have gone wrong and how to troubleshoot?
Thanks!

pictures?
You could have cut too deep, and/or you are trying to airlayer a branch that is too young.

I will be able to give a picture in a day or two. The branch is quite older. Probably I have cut a bit deep. What else could be the cause? is it possible that the moss is clogging the phloem?
