I collected this tree in early spring, I like the look of it and it's starting to produce leafs. I know I have some time be for it's ready for any real work to be done on it but I don't know if I should cut it down more or not. Not quite sure exactly what species of tree it is yet but any tips or ideas would be great.

I like the curve, but it takes years to develop it. For its kind i dont know what tree it is ... haha

No not yet waiting for the leafs to get bigger so I can research it. If anyone has any ideas let me know

I can't be sure on what species it is either but you should take some of the wire holding the roots down off before it can do any damage

Yes thank you, I already did about a month ago. The tree has started to branch out nicely for the most part.

I believe its some kind of Sumac. Maybe Rhus glabra or Smooth Sumac. Leave it alone for a year and come back to it. Happy hunting.
