Hello,
After my grandfather died, I took the custody of some of his inheritance. There are 2 grenadines brought about 40 years ago from Croatia island Hvar, one unknown cypress tree or a juniper about 10 years old.
Grenaders were both near-dead many times, always managed to save them, and occasionally have 1-2 fruits. I do not know how he cared for them, I think they wasn't meant as a bonsai, he just kept them in a portable flower pot to move them to the greenhouse in the winter and sometimes repoted them. As far as I know, Grandfather never used fertiliser. Unknown conifer is outdoors all year round, I doubt it was sometimes repotted or cut.
I want the plants to survive and thrive, what steps should I take to get grenadines from the plastic pots to nice bowls, what conifer i have here and is there anything reasonable I can do with it?
Location: middle Europe, Czech republic around 49°49'N 18°15'E, temperature peaking to 35°C in summer, to -25°C in winter average is 15°C. Mild to medium humidity and occasional rain.

Thanks for every opinion

I agree. They are nice looking potted plants, but they are not bonsai.

For sure they could be future bonsai, a repot would be probably help. Start reading about your trees and then you find out soon enough to start getting into them.
