Please help?? :( Running out of ideas! was created by Katie

Hi fellow bonsai enthusiasts!

I have a problem with my chinese elm, it is a year old, it has been fine ever since I had it however the past 3/4 weeks it hasnt been doing well. The leaves have started to discolour and drop off. The leaves appearer dryer than before, and a lot have fallen off. I have tried repotting , allowing plenty of fresh air, trimmed and kept on top of watering. Have sprayed with antifungal spray. I feed it once a week and water when needed. ( Havent fed it since the re pot 5 days ago)

Growth has slowed and new leaves seem to grow with a gray bit on the end :/

Can I save my plant? Any help or sugesstions on what the problem could be would be really appreciated!

Thank you

I am assuming you are not keeping the tree inside. I fyou are.. Your tree is not sure what time of year it is, and decided to go dormant. Put it outside. Repotting was one of the worst things to do. It causes a lot of stress for a tree, which was already unhappy. put it outside in a spot that only receives a bit of sun early morning or late evening. Then just water. Do not fiddle with it.

I think it is a combination of things. Typically a sign of a weakened tree. Once the tree gets the right care, most issues resolve themselves. Plants do not go to the doctor. they recover over time. We overthink the care.
