It was just a bit unclear. so you just cleaned the jin and shari. In terms of re-potting. You mentioned the inner foliage started dying and now the upper foliage is dying. Is the foliage brittle? does it fall when you touch it?

So it is just dropping some leaves? that's ok. Just keep good care of it. It is normal for the tree to drop some old foliage.

I think you cut the roots too much, juniper is not accustomed to extreme root pruning...

I am wondering why people say keep it in the shade. IF there is a problem with the roots, the tree needs energy to restore the roots. Pines and junipers are pants that do not use a lot of water, and typically get their strength not from roots, but from foliage. I would allow a number of hours of sunlight in the evening.
