It is a ficus ginseng , not a bonsai , these are mass produced houseplants sold from general stores to trick people that don't know what bonsai really is into buying them .
If you ask me it should be illegal as it is false advertisement
If you are interested in the art of bonsai you can start by looking it up o this site , it's got a lot of info and I'm sure it will put you on the right track .
