Azalea not blooming was created by maxi

Hi there,
I have few questions about my azalea, I obtained the tree 1 year ago and what I did:
1.removed all the flowers
2.repotted in akadama and sphagnum moss (just the top of the pot, covering the surface)
3.added biogold fertilizer after repotting and placed the tree in a shadow position and kept moist but not wet.
The azalea survived the very cold winter ( - 20 degrees Celsius) and in February I noticed that the buds were present and when I removed the sphagnum moss, I saw some root rot, you can smell it ( see the photos)
So, in few words, do I need an urgent repotting in kanuma and akadama, for exemple? My azalea looks healthy (the leaves are dark colored) but the tree is not flowering for the moment (I put some biogold a 1 month ago).
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks

Do you let it dry out a bit between watering ? At least the top centimetre of the soil should be dry before watering

No, i did not. It was covered with sphagnum moss and I can not see if it's wet or not.
I practice the system with my other bonsai like Walter Pall describe it- every day watering from march to October and it was working fine until this moment.

So you removed all the flowers last year or this year? Before or after they wilted?
Did you check the acidity of your soil?
You said you used biogold top dressing fertilizer, what was the ratio NPK ?
You repotted in the same container? Did you root prune?
-20°C was it protected from wind?

This plant looks perfectly happy. I would just leave it alone. Now that the moss is of the surface, I think you will get rid of the smell soon.

The fertilizer is with ratio N-5.5 P-6.5 K-3.5.
So last year, I root prune heavily the tree, washed the roots, removed all the flowers, the repotting was made in the same pot with substrate akadama and little bit of zeolite and then biogold until October. The azalea was protected from wind but the winter was severe and the survived, so I felt in love with azaleas.
The question is for blooming really, the tree has too many buds or I made the mistake to fertilize before blooming or...?
Akadama is neutral, not acid.

Took much nitrogen will cause it to not bloom (but grows like crazy) You don't have this problem.
A soil too alkaline will cause it not to bloom. You don't have this problem.
A root bound azalea will not bloom. You don't have this problem.
Azaleas fix buds for next year weeks after this years flowers fade a harsh winter could kill those buds.
Pruning Mid-Summer, Fall, or Winter could also cause it not to bud.
Those could be the issue.

The buds are formed february this year but they did not developp in flowers, they are still buds, not change.
I'm too impatient or...?
This tree last year was in poor condition but has some flowers at the end of may.

I'm with leatherback... the tree looks fine... if your spring has been like mine, it is no wonder it hasn't flowered yet... I'm not sure how it is with azaleas, but my other flowering trees don't flower if they don't get a good amount of sun.. or don't flower until that happens. It is still the begining of may...and you said it flowered the end of may? this may happen yet.. so just wait and see... most importantly, keep the tree healthy.

Oh.. Is your worry about flowering? The tree is full of flower buds by the looks of it. The thick pointy buds at the end of the branch are flower buds. So.. Just be patient.
