Im afraid i'm loosing this plant, and its drying out. I got this pine a few months back. I repotted it from what seemed to be woodchips and soil, i cut back like 5-10% of the roots 9just a tiny piece because it came off during repot. I used lavarock macademia soil and retained about 25% of the previous soil to keep the white fungi. I reduced the buds to 2 per branch, this was all done maybe a month ago. I haven't done much to it since then except remove dead dried needles to help the lower branches get more sunlight. the tips seem to be yellowing and some new shoots aren't doing so well however others are ok. Please look at the pictures. If you have any advice on how to proceed here please give it to me, i could really use it.

You are doing thingsat the wrong time. Needles need to extend before pruning, and re potting is best done in late summer. I hope you are not keeping it inside and just had it there fr the pic.

I didn't prune the needles or cut back on new growth, i reduced the buds to two per branch before they started to open up and only removed the dry yellow needles . I know i repotted at the wrong time but im looking for tips to keep it healthy going forward. i feel like maybe i am watering too much. I have been letting the soil dry out completely for the top 1 cm , before drenching it wet again. Should i let it dry out more?
