About three weeks ago my gf bought me a juniper. For the first week and a half we kept it in the window sill because the seller told her it was an indoor tree. I then noticed the needles becoming brittle and placed it outside. The next day the side facing the sun was starting to yellow, the rest looks okay, just not as vibrant green as when we first got it. I fertilized a couple days ago and haven't noticed and changes yet. Any idea what the issue could be? Third pic is the side that was away from the sun, last pic is the day we got it. Soil looks like normal potting soil, roots are not bound

This plant is on its way out. Return it to the store. It should never have been inside, and has dried out due to bad advice in the store.

Do not fertilize!

Is there anyway to save it? And I used a solid fertilizer and didn't use much, if I want to try to save it should I try to remove the fertilizer pellets from the soil?

Hard to tell from the pics along. Put it outside, half day sun. Make sure the roots do not stay wet too long. Wait. Fertilizer can be taken of, indeed.

Thank you, it hasn't really gotten worse just kind of staying the same and it was a birthday present so I really don't want it to die lol.

But it hasn't gotten better either. The plant is dead or dying. Junipers can stay green for a long time.

I just noticed a couple very very tiny white bugs on it. Could that have anything to do with it as well?

Unfortunately that plant is dead.
It usually takes some time for the foliage to get the memo!

The weakened plant could have gotten infected, or the infection weakened the plant. Could be both.

yes sorry it looks dead. It could have been dead when your girlfriend bought it.
I had a juniper for about 8 years. Suddenly due to being careless in summer from a busy schedule and not going home for 4 days and watering it. It died.

Note that it was green all the way till fall/autumn close to 4 months suddenly in a week it was 90% brown.
As noted earlier pines and juniper can take a while to look dead opposed to other trees. I find juniper the slowest in experience.

I know this as i am an experienced juniper/pine killer. I stay away from them now. Never have any luck with them in a pot. only in the ground.
