Note: It did also rain last night and through the day so that also worried me as over watering.

Then should I not water it until it looks better? Or only water it when it looks really dry?
Thank you for your response, I did not know that!

Shade works best after re-potting. Keep watering as usual. I usually check the soil a lot after re-potting, making sure it doesn't dry out, and I use about 90-95% inorganic soil. I am specializing in boxwood (they like dry soil) because I am a beginner and I found last year, it is the easiest tree to learn. You can spray the leaves, the tree can take water from the leaves and it is good practice when re-potting. Once the tree has settled, you can stop spraying water. That's what I do and it always works, and the only time I killed a tree when re-potting was because I chopped almost all the roots.... There might be better things you can do, but I always do that.

I would like to add. My memory is terrible and my statement is not true. I have killed other trees after re-potting, maybe 2 or 3?. They all have been killed by taking way too many roots off the root ball, or making other drastic changes to the tree at the same time. From experience, it is usually very quick. 2-5 days leaves start drying out, then branches break. Also, at this point, it is unlikely there is anything you can do.
I've had trees been fine, then after 2-3 weeks I see some drying of leaves, some fight. These usually survive, as they are just recovering from re-potting. But when it happens so fast, matter of days, it is usually a goner.
