I want to make my first bonsai! I was thinking of it for a long time but i didnt know where to start from. I saw this little plant-tree(i dont know what it is!) in my back yard and i would like to know what it is and if its possible to become a bonsai! Thank you! I live in greece if this helps you!^^ :silly:

That looks very interesting, young but interesting. Also familiar. I am in the States and it is really hard to ID that wee little one . Is there a Parent Tree/shrub nearby?

just an olive tree. Nothing else. Can it become a bonsai? i dug a hole around it and it has just one long root about 20cm long

The leaves are too glossy to be olive.
Yes! That's it Livstaras. Pomegranate! I have several seedlings I have just started and one that is 2 years old. That's why it looks so familiar. Poms make great fruiting bonsai trees.

Looks to me the leaves have three points, which would rule out pomegranate?
No idea what it is. Pictures are unclear, and I am fairly sure it is a species I do not know.

I don't think you should pot it yet , if it's in the ground you may as well let it grow to thicken the trunk ,so when you do put it in a pot you have better material to work with
You can use sacrificial branches to do this if you want to keep the shape or you can just let it grow freely .
Ps: show us a pic of the olive tree that you said is growing beside it, that might make a good bonsai .
