Hi guys, i have a problem
Last fall i bought 2 prunus cerasifera.
in the winter i overwinterd them with care like my other trees. The trees were not too moist not to dry the hole winter. Now in early spring my other trees begin producing leaves and flowers except for these 2 prunus cerasifera. The branches seem to dry out but they are still green if i shape away a little bit of bark. Now i don?t know what is going on.
regards Massimo

Seems you have done things right. All you can do now is wait. Some times trees take a bit more time.
Not sure though, seems the buds are dried out. Can't see that clearly on the photo. Still, all you can do is give it proper care and wait.

Not all trees respond at the same time. My crab apple tree came out of dormancy in february. My maple slightly later.. my hornbeam is extending it's buds.. my yew is just starting to swell it's buds. My elm has also just started.. the crape myrtle is just starting to produce buds.. as auk said the only thing you can do is wait.

If branches start to dry out, but they are still green underneath, is it helpful to spray the branches with water or is that counterproductive ?

Buds seemed dried out already, if the branches are drying out (getting wrinkly / brittle) the tree may be dead already. The green underneath does in this case not prove it is alive. It just shows it's not completely dead.

Spraying won't help. Won't hurt either.

Be patient. Trees take time to grow.
