Bought it from EL online store, arrived today it took aprox 4 days to ship from California, dozen of leaves where on the bottom of the box, don't know what to expect, my first tree and i looks it doesn't have a good chance.

I'd ask for a refund. What you got can't even be called a bonsai - and it does look VERY unhealthy.
They are going to tell you it just needs to recover and you'll have to be patient. Do not accept that.

Get your money back. This looks shame.

Which makes me wonder. Are there reliable sources for buying (pre)bonsai trees online, in US and in Europe?

Thanks for the prompt response guys, lesson learned , I shouldn't have ignored all the negatives reviews on that site, I took my chances and wasted $50.
I'll try the refund route , if not I'll keep it and we'll see.

Although i think 50usd is too much money, i do not agree with the refund. Unless it is very different tree from.what was shown on the picture in the webshop.

It is very normal for plants to drop leaves
Bougainvillea i find to be particularly sensitive to dropping leaves when temps change. Is seems to havre young foliage all over. With proper care you should have no problems whatsoever.

There are loads of reliable sellers around. You just have to realize that transpot if plabts is hard. Better whenever possible go for a pickup.
