I'd be most grateful if someone can identify the pictured tree for me - it was purchased in Singapore, but the plant depo where it was purchased from had no idea which specific tree it is.
Any thoughts would be most welcome!

Looks like: Zanthoxylum piperitum. Imitation bonsai.

Auk means they sold you tree in pot like it is bonsai but it is not. Almost every tree can be grown into bonsai, not every tree that lives in pot is bonsai though.
