Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have two trees that I'm not sure what to do with. The first is a large Eastern red Cedar that I found at the back of my woods. I would tike to pot it, but it's very close to another larger tree and don't want to damage either of the root systems. The other is a Norwegian Spruce sapling that I found growing under another tree. I would love to grow it into a bonsai what it is large enough. Should I leave it where it is or put it somewhere where it can grow better?

Hard to say anything about the Cedar without seeing a photo, at least.
I'd leave the spruce where it is until it is big enough. You can start training it in the ground.

Here's a few pictures of the trees. The first three is the red cedar, and the last two is the Norwegian spruce.

The spruce seems to have foliage at the end of the branches only, dead inside. Looks unusable to me.
Cedar seems to have very straight trunk. Not sure if this is usable.
