Leaves turning brown was created by Palmer

I recently received a Chinese Maple bonsai as a gift. I am very new to bonsais. I have been watering it regularly. The leaves are turning brown. We have been through some extreme heat lately, but I have been moving the bonsai to a shady area of the garden during these times. Please have a look at the attached photo and provide any suggestions. Thank you

I have found this guide over internet. I am not sure how much accurate it is, so confirmation by the experienced guys here should be given.

Yellow and wilted, faded and droopy, dry and crunchy, edges and tips yellow, misshaped leaves, discoloration, white stripes...

Seems I'm missing 'brown' in there.

You're right - and it means the photo is irrelevant.

Ah.... I was looking at the subject. So, you are saying it is being overwatered?

I mean nothing. Just found this guide and was expecting your say on it. Not sure if it is legit and if it applies to trees. I still dont see brown leaves on the elm. I see them yellow.

It helps to know what country you are in. Maples do not have leaves in the northern hemisphere in winter so I assume you are in the southern. If it is outside then it is what happens to trees in autumn, if it is indoors then that is what happens in un natural conditions.
