Hi!

I am BRAND new to 名媛直播, I just bought a tree from a 名媛直播 store who turns out to be un reliable and lying. I was looking for an indoor plan I specificlly asked if this tree could be kept indoors and from what I read online this is false. To say the least I am going to keep this tree but it is the middle of winter and I dont know whether or not this tree is dormant and can be placed outside, or if from being in a heated store I should wait and keep it indoors for the time being?

Questions:
1) What type of Juniper is this?
2) What does the info on the tage mean?
3) Should I place it outside right away? and if so how to I protect it from the cold?
4) It appears to be in moss, should I repot into soil?
5) I see no wire at all should I consider shaping it or wait?
Should anyone need more info, or if there is any other relavent informaiton I should know please let me know. and thank you all in advance for your help!

1) What type of Juniper is this?
Probably squamata. Not sure. I have a hard time identifying junipers

2) What does the info on the tage mean?
That the plant is supposed to be 5 years old, and 2 years in a pot? Ask the store owner who wrote the card (...)

3) Should I place it outside right away? and if so how to I protect it from the cold?
Don't know what you live. In Irkoetsk it is -45c. In Melbourne +35. If it is above 0, and thus no frost it should be fine. Just keep it protected from frost this winter

4) It appears to be in moss, should I repot into soil?
The moss probably is just a layer o top. Have a look and see whether it containes the roots. If not, you can probably safely remove it.

5) I see no wire at all should I consider shaping it or wait?
I would recomment try keeping it alive for a year.

The info on the tag tells me that you have paid far too much for a young juniper cutting, that isn't a bonsai, really.

It's telling me that I'm in the wrong line of work.

Were I you, Moose, I would look into finding a somewhat larger pot to put the plant in. The store may have thought that plant old enough for training, but I've never had a good experience with a juniper cutting in a proper bonsai pot.
