Knob thorns require full sun to flourish, to move it is not really going to help as bugs is everywhere.

I recommend a systematic pesticide . pending on brand it can last between 6 months to a year.

You must be from South Africa (Afrikaans)

"Knoppies doring" I am also Afrikaans. Nurseries doesn't always keep a big variety. Builders Warehouse normally keep a big variety. Just make sure to get a general pesticide like Sipermetrien.

Lol, nice!! Thanks for your help Gekkie! Lol, if I have bonsai troubles in the future, I know who to message :D

When you fertilize your bonsai, do you wait for the soil to be completely dry first (the top 1cm)?? And do you fertilize it the same way you would water it??

I normally feel about 25mm deep into the soil. If it is slightly damp I will give it water. Never let your bonsai dry out completely as it might starve without water and die. The same principle applies with watering and fertilizing.

I'd say that practically everyone who is seriously into bonsai has outdoor bonsai only (except a few that have Ficus).
There's no such thing as an indoor tree.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Leaves do die, I do not think that there is a problem, and using poisons when there is no need is a waste of time and money. Unless you can see visible signs of a pest of disease thn leave it. Wait and see, as you are in Sputh Africa the plant should be out in the sun., if it not then put it out. Do not believe all you read on the internet please!
