First off im new to growing plants in general and im not bringing this up as a bonsai question but rather a concern for my juniper. Yes this juniper was purchased at walmart as "bonsai" back at the end of july. I repotted it in some soil i made based on some reading i did (crushed clay brick, crushed lava rock and river rock all sifted) ive feed it a liquid plant food 10-15-10 mix every 2 weeks and started to slow down last month as it got colder here in indiana. up until now my juniper has looked amazingly green and i got almost an inch of new growth on the tip or the right side. but here recently its started to lose some color and shrivel up i guess you could say. im hoping thats just what they look like when it starts to get colder outside but i feel that may not be the case. Oh also i have it on a table i made on the west side of my house and temps have been 40-50 durring the day and 30's at night.

doesn't look too bad. Many junipers loose a bit of vibrance in fall. If you keep it outside, with a bit of sun, it should be fine.

Yes, plant it in the ground or in a bigger pot and let it grow
