Hello, I find in the park this tree, can you help me to save it and maybe make a bonsai from it, it was thrown away from somebody, I was trying to ID it and I think is European Lurch but I am not sure, any bits of advice, should I cut it now or wait spring, and in what to pot it in, I can keep it in the garden, I live in the Netherlands, I hope it's ok to live outside, I am new in bonsai, I just was thinking to buy one and then find this, I am growing orchids from a long time and this is something new for me any help to save this poor thing is welcome. :)
Thank you in advance. :):)

I'm pretty sure it 's not a Lurch. Also it doesn't look like a larch. Seems some kind of pine to me.

If you found it like this, lying outside with the roots exposed, it is not likely this tree will live. Plant it in the ground then leave it alone and see if it grows. I expect it won't. Even if it does, it is not good material. I would not put time in it.

Hi, yes it was like this with some more of them, I don't know why they do this for those trees, there was more with better roots, but they was too big...so an ordinary soil, in a normal plastic pot, do you think is ok? I want just to try to save it. Thanks.:)

Put it in the ground, not a pot. It is hard enough to get pines to live after a transplant. Putting it in a pot is not going to make it easier, I would say.
I am with our on the prospects for this plant though..

Oh, ok thanks for the answers, I can't pot it in the garden, the garden is cover with stones and a plastic protection from the owner of the house, so I can pot it in the pot that I have and hope to not die or throw it away back in the park, I am going with the first choice, I will update in the spring if it's still alive.
In the spring I was thinking to buy Zelkova bonsai from the local store, I hope it's not very hard spices to grow. I already read a lot for bonsai care. :)
Wish me luck and happy growing to you. :):)

That's probably going to be a mallsai:

Note that the author writes that: "with a few simple steps, mass-produced mallsai can be turned into good quality, healthy bonsai" but I'm not sure if I agree with that - I think that can only be done by an experienced bonsai grower, not by a beginner.

If that one is not good for inside, then please give me advice of what kind is better?

These are often confused.

It looks like this..

A typical mallsai.

If that one is not good for inside, then please give me advice of what kind is better?

Sorry, I don't do indoor trees. Ficus seems to do well,
