Bahamaberry Help was created by cmeTROT

Hey!
So I recently got my first 3 bonsai, a bahamaberry (more on little Timmy in a minute), a dwarf cherry, and a dwarf Japanese maple.
So here's the deal, guy who I bought little Timmy from told me he was easy to care for. All I'm reading says the opposite and in a day (i kid you not, 24hrs) he dries out and the leaves turn dull. So I drenched him and let him soak overnight and then removed said soaking water in the morning hoping that would help. Some of the leaves have brightened back up but about 1/2 still look dull and it's been 32-48 hrs.
Any helpful hints would be great on how to save what I can as well as any hints on care for a bahama since I've had a hard time finding good care specs.
Thanks all

I have never had the species. Looks like a species from the wet tropics from what I can find.
Drying out quickly.. Is the consequence of keeping bonsai. The small container just does not contain a lot of water. You will have to find a balance between letting it dry out, and not letting it dry out too far.
Once leaves dry out beyond a certain point, they do not recover, which you are seeing now. Just care for it properly, recovery is going to take time: The leaves need to regrow.

LB: would you recommend to remove all the leaves? Or let the tree drop the leaves naturally? Or clip off branches where the leaves are dried up?

That's a great question, I have "helped" some fall that were basically brittle at that point but it's such a small plant now I'm worried about cutting it back out of growing season.

Leaves that have not completely died, still hold nutrients. I would give the plant the chance to withdraw those, and then drop the leaves naturally. Nature knows.
